Hundreds of hours of free content
Just in time for the 15th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings Online, the big update 33 awaits you at the end of April 2022. This makes a lot of content available to everyone free of charge in one fell swoop. This includes all quests, areas and expansions released since the original release in 2007 until the release of the addon Helm’s Deep:
That adds up to hundreds of hours of content that you can now enjoy completely free of charge. The expansions Mordor, Minas Morgul, War of the Three Peaks and Fate of Gundabad are still subject to a fee or subscription. That’s still in there
The blog post for Update 33 contains further innovations for the MMORPG fan favorite:
- Yondershire: A new area in the north of the map characterized by bogs and swamps, home to many hobbit hermits. This is the first Shire update in years.
- Jubilee party: Here you should help in »A Flurry of Fireworks« in the planning of a huge fireworks display. More information will follow for the 15th anniversary.
- VIP change: Players with VIP status will receive the expansions Mordor, Minas Morgul and War of the Three Peaks with the update
