Sorry, Batman fans, you’ll have to wait another year for the sequel

Batman, Fans, sequel, wait, Year, Youll

long wait batman 2 That’s even longer now that Warner Bros. has delayed the release of its upcoming sequel by a full year.

It’s been a few years since we first got a look at Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson’s take on the Batman universe, but it looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer before we see the Caped Crusader again. According to “Variety”, the film has been delayed by a full year and will no longer be released on October 3, 2025 as originally planned, but will be moved to October 2, 2026. There was a strike last year, but beyond that there don’t seem to be any details as to why the film was delayed so drastically.

The movie “Bride of Frankenstein” directed by Maggie Gyllenhall is called “Bride!” ” will apparently replace “Batman 2” on October 3, 2025. bride! The cast is also quite strong, including Christian Bale, Jesse Buckley, Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening and Penélope Cruz.

Reeves will of course return to direct the project, but only Pattinson has been confirmed to be back in casting. Jeffrey Wright, who played Jim Gordon in the first film, is likely to return as well, but he noted that he hasn’t read the script yet, so it does sound like there’s still a lot of work to be done.

We’ll be returning to Reeves’ version of Gotham later this year, though, as Warner Bros. is developing a series called “Penguin” starring Colin Farrell (which also happens to be the name). Plot details are also scarce for the project, which apparently takes place a week after the events of the first film. The show is currently scheduled to air on Max in late 2024, but a release date or month has not yet been confirmed.
