The 4 threat levels of the operation mode
With Space Marine 2, Saber Interactive wants to appeal to all types of players, from the most die-hard players who have beaten dozens of video games of the same genre to newcomers who are (or are not) fans of this science fiction universe. The story campaign, which tells the victorious Inquisition of the Ultramarine Demetrian Titus, offers 4 difficulty levels (Easy, Medium, Veteran, Angel of Death) and the Operations mode does the same. These difficulty levels, in this case called threat levels, are classified as Minimal, Medium, Manifest and finally Merciless.
However, there is a fundamental difference between Story mode and PvE (Player vs. Environment) mode. If it is possible to complete the story without farming, it is a miracle in the Operations realm. Studios even display a warning if you select a threat level that is too high for your class level. It is advisable to choose a difficulty level that corresponds to the power increase of your different Space Marines. A level 6 Tactician has a chance of surviving at a medium threat, while a level 15 Vanguard can withstand a merciless threat, and so on. Here are the different threat levels and their specifics in detail:

- Your second neutralization is equivalent to fatal injury

Threat level: Medium

Rewards in Operation Mode by Threat Level
Great power means… hordes of plunder. Operations mode is based on a certain number of missions (6 at the game’s launch on September 9, 2024) and 4 threat levels, as mentioned above. Each higher threat level increases the difficulty by several levels, but in return promises great rewards for the Space Marines who manage to survive and excel during the operations conducted. While it is preferable to favor PvP at the beginning of the game (+15 requirement points for 15 minutes of play time), PvE becomes attractive once the medium threat level is reached with 55 requirement points for a play time of about 45-60 minutes per mission.
