  • Even after three months, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” is still showing in many cinemas.
  • Since March 15, 2022, you finally have the opportunity to stream the successful Marvel blockbuster.
  • The digital release was brought forward due to an online leak.

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” started in cinemas in December 2021 and was extremely successful there, Corona or not. A date for a digital release remained unknown for a long time, after all, Sony wanted to lure all Marvel fans out of the house and into the cinemas.

However, it is now finally possible to buy “Spider-Man: No Way Home” digitally. The release will follow on April 12th on DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K UHD Blu-Ray. Then you also have the option to rent the movie on stream if you only want to see it once.

Incidentally, the digital release date has already been brought forward twice. Initially, “No Way Home” was supposed to be released in home theaters on June 29, 2022, but a gap of over 6 months between theatrical and home theater release seemed very strange from the start. You also have to consider that “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” will start in cinemas in May 2022 and will continue some storylines from “No Way Home”.

So it was only logical that even the last Marvel fan would have the opportunity to catch up on the current Spider-Man adventure and then see the new Doctor Strange film in the cinema.

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” on Disney+?

Like Homecoming and Far From Home, Spidey’s latest adventure, No Way Home, will not be released on Disney+. Since Sony owns the film rights to Spider-Man, Disney has nothing to do with the film’s release. The film should one day be seen on Sky, Netflix and/or Amazon Prime Video.

Then, in mid-March, the date was brought forward again by a week from March 22 to March 15, while the Blu-Ray launch remained unchanged. The reason: A high-resolution copy of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” had found its way onto the Internet. In order to limit the damage, Sony is now making a legal alternative to piracy available even earlier.

To get in the mood for the new Spdiey flick, you can stream previous films from Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney+’s What’s New.
