The game may not end until this weekend, but there’s a lot Splatoon 3 Gameplay has appeared online.
The game’s street dates are often broken by a day or so, whether it’s the delivery service just picking up the package somewhere early, or the store being a little cheeky and letting friends buy a copy a day early.Unfortunately Nintendojust a week before the game’s release week on September 9, a ton of gameplay has leaked online.
As spotted by Kotaku, the gameplay has already popped up on the Splatoon subreddit, though the subreddit is removing any posts showing anything not previously made public in an official capacity, as it’s technically a spoiler. Anyway, this is a general rule for subreddits about spoilers, so if you’re concerned about visiting the subreddit after you post, you shouldn’t find any spoilers.
According to VGC, a cracked version of the game may have appeared online, as some social media users reported that the game’s files were being dumped onto PCs.
Overall it puts players in a difficult position to get excited about the game as this launch week will obviously be filled with a lot of marketing to drum up the hype, but it increases the risk of seeing story spoilers as a lot of the community is so invested in main land.
This isn’t the only trouble Splatoon has had recently, as some players have already been banned from the game after the recent Splatfest test, and the entire Switch Online until the end of the game. Some players have been visiting areas they didn’t intend to visit and were caught by the game’s anti-cheat system, so keep that in mind if you’re thinking about doing anything interesting.
