The colorful shooter series Splatoon is enjoying great popularity on the Switch. Now Nintendo has finally nailed it when it comes to replenishing Splatoon 3.
So far, the sequel Splatoon 3 was simply announced for summer 2022, but the Japanese have so far not given a specific release date. This has now been changed for the weekend and the release date communicated via trailer.
So you’ll have to wait until the end of summer, because Splatoon 3 will be available for the Switch on September 9, 2022. This was paired with the aforementioned new gameplay trailer, which shows you Turf War scenes for a whopping four minutes.
The fan-favorite game mode is making a comeback in Splatoon 3. Here two teams of four players each fight against each other and have to color as much of the battlefield as possible.
Otherwise you can of course expect all sorts of new levels and places like Scorch Gorge from Splatoon 3. New moves that you can master, new weapons including the Tri-Stringer and more are also planned for the new part.
