Splatoon 3 is the third installment in an interesting and vibrant series developed and published by Nintendo, and is rumored to be released in the summer of 2022.
Nearly five years after Splatoon 2’s release, a February 2022 Nintendo Direct revealed that the game will be returning for a third time. Set in the sun-scorched Splatlands and the new city of Splatsville, players will once again pick up splatguns as well as exciting new weapons and moves for even more colorful encounters.
So far, we know there will be a story mode where you control Agent 3 and fight the evil Octarian, and there will also be a co-op mode. Splatoon 3 pre-orders, editions and bonus content
While the game doesn’t even have official cover art yet, you’ll be happy to know that Splatoon 3 is available for pre-order in the US from a handful of retailers like Amazon in the UK, Game, Base, and ShopTo, as well as Best, Walmart, and GameStop. There’s only one version available for pre-order right now, but we’d love to hear about pre-order bonuses and a different version coming soon. It’s not currently available in the Nintendo Switch Online store, so if you want to pre-order, you’ll have to get a physical copy of the game.

Earlier this month, Nintendo narrowed Splatoon 3’s release date to “Summer 2022,” but still hasn’t given us a set time to expect its release. The last two Splatoon games were released in May and July, so we’d expect it to be released in either of those months or June. We’ll let you know when we have a confirmed release date.
