Until Halo Infinite is released, this may discourage you.
I played some Split gateAll in all, it is a free multiplayer FPS. Think of Halo encountering Portal. What combination, right?
Splitgate is not new, it has been released in beta for some time. It used to be called Splitgate Arena Warfare, but it did not receive much attention in 2019. Now it’s back, and it’s blown to the point where the server can’t meet the players’ needs for trying to play, creating as many as hours of login.
Developers have to do something right to get players to queue, so I waited 30 minutes to play, and I must say that Splitgate is much better than I expected.
It’s not perfect, but it eased my competitive Halo withdrawal symptoms, and it feels good to be back in a solid arena shooting game. Watch the video above to see how I did it.
What do you think? Please let us know in the comments. And please don’t mention how I couldn’t get a headshot early.
Splitgate is still in beta and was supposed to be released in July, but it needed to be postponed due to huge investments and a substantial increase in its player base. It is scheduled to be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S sometime in August. For more games released this year, please go to our video game release date page.
