update prophetic Released yesterday, featuring quality of life updates, new settings, and graphical improvements.
One of the new features included in update 1.10 is the setting Remember last viewed menu section. When set to ON, the game will behave as it currently does. However, if turned off, the main menu will always default to the map.
Another new setting is Focus on Target, which, when turned on, will behave as it currently does. If off, pressing R3 while charging a spell will lock onto enemies, giving you more precise control.
The Lock on Nearby Enemies setting will automatically switch to Nearby Enemies when turned on. It corresponds to another called Off-Screen Enemy Lock-On, it doesn’t matter where the enemy is.
Next up is a setting requested by many players called Immunity to Own Magic. As the name suggests, when turned on, it prevents Frey from panicking due to her spell effects.
Version 1.10 also includes various graphical improvements. After the update is applied, you’ll be prompted to adjust brightness and contrast. If HDR is enabled, this will also include HDR UI elements.
Changes have also been made to lighting and ambient occlusion.

Speaking of Forspoken, former Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda said in a recent investor note that the game’s sales have been “lackluster.” Matsuda also called the game’s reviews “challenging,” despite positive feedback on Forspoken’s action, combat, and parkour features.
It is believed that, despite its shortcomings, the game’s achievements will “boost” Square’s “ability to develop other games in the future.”
Hopefully some updates to the game will help people change their minds.
