If you’re planning on getting early access to Final Fantasy XIV: Tracks of Dawn, Square Enix has a small request for you.
After a two-and-a-half-year hiatus, Final Fantasy 14’s latest expansion, Tracks of Dawn, is about to be released in the hands of players. The MMO’s producer, Naoki “Yoshi-P” Yoshida, has generously given everyone a full week to play Shadow of the Trees, but Tracks of Dawn’s Early Access release date is this Friday, June 28, so if you share the same interests, you don’t have much time left.

But it’s important to note that this is only for those who have the option to play the latest expansion in early access, as the official release is a full week later on July 5. As part of this hiatus, Square Enix has put out a small post kindly asking those with early access to be careful when sharing spoilers (although this won’t actually stop you from doing so).
“During Early Access, there are no restrictions on what you can discuss, post, or stream as long as you comply with the Material License Agreement,” the post explains. “However, we ask that Early Access users be considerate and avoid posting spoiler-related content as some players may start playing from the official release or play at their own pace. This is a reasonable request, as a full week is a long time to avoid spoilers of any kind, and it’s also a sign of courtesy, so even if you’re not punished, be a decent human being, okay?
If you’re worried about how crowded the servers will get, Yoshi-P did claim that it’s “almost impossible” for Endwalker’s server issues to happen again, but that claim will soon be put to the test with Dawntrail releasing in a few days.
