After the cancellation of one of the most important events of the year, E3 2020, proposals have been coming out so that the main studios can present their next titles. Others have chosen to make their own live shows, as great companies like Nintendo have been doing years ago. During E3, Square Enix has surprised us with advancements of highly anticipated titles such as the already released Final Fantasy VII Remake, and its large public awaits an alternative for the Japanese company to present news in the form of a digital event.
The cancellation of E3 meant the search for other means to bring forth upcoming Square Enix titles, but unfortunately it won't happen. The company will not make an E3 format presentation as a substitute. However, they have not ruled out the option of presenting their news through announcements periodically one by one. Unfortunately, this news leaves a bad taste in the mouth for lovers of the company's presentations. The current pandemic is hitting some sectors hard and that of video games was not going to be invulnerable.
