After the PC, the crazy armed squirrel is now set to make its way onto consoles. There is now a rough release date for this.
In the video game industry, really crazy game ideas sometimes cause a stir. For example, there is the chaotic physics simulator Goat Simulator with a goat as the protagonist – and most recently Squirrel with a Gun was added to this category. The armed squirrel – yes, that’s no joke – is set to be available to PC gamers via Steam from August 29, 2024, but the trigger-happy animal will also continue to cause mischief on consoles.
As has now been announced, Squirrel with a Gun will also be released on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. This was announced on the sidelines of gamescom, according to which the corresponding release for these two consoles is scheduled for autumn 2024.
A new trailer has also been released, showing some of the game mechanics, weapons and power-ups, including a remote-controlled car. Otherwise, developer Daniel DeEntremont wants to transport you to a sandbox where you can let off steam with the trigger-happy squirrel – all based on the current Unreal Engine 5, which makes the whole thing quite attractive.
