Game news STALKER 2, Dying Light 2 … the 8 most promising FPS of 2022
The year 2021 is now almost behind us, it is time to turn our attention to 2022 which should be much closer in terms of releases. We’ll be focusing on a handful of FPS here that are slated for next year and look promising.
This is a somewhat hybrid title in the world of first person gaming. Ranged weapons are rare here as Dyig Light has always preferred close combat. After a successful debut episode, Dying Light 2 appears to have tweaked its formula and taken it to the next level. You will therefore always find that mix of parkour and visceral combat, a day / night cycle that changes the morphology of the city you are in and benefits from a real narrative twist based on the choices and the consequences. While we’re hoping the game will be more than a Dying Light 1.5, the first impressions we got when we got our hands on this open world were more than encouraging.

Scorn’s development doesn’t seem to have gone smoothly. The developers themselves admit it wasn’t always easy for this title, which was advertised on Kickstarter in 2014. The campaign had not yet achieved its goal, but the game finally regained strength in 2015, then a new successful crowdfunding campaign in 2017 with this time. Microsoft then confiscated the project and Scorn abandoned its cross-generational ambitions to focus solely on the Xbox series and PC. Originally planned for fall 2021, the atmospheric FPS, which is heavily inspired by the work of Giger or Cronenberg, will finally be released in 2022. While these pitfalls are certainly worrying, we remain confident that this obviously atypical game lives up to the originality of its settings and principle., and that it will prove as haunting as it is fearful, as its trailers suggest. Answer next year if everything goes according to plan.

Shadow Warrior should actually host its third episode sometime next year, putting you back in the shoes of the fallen shogun who must try to capture an ancient dragon that he and his pal accidentally set free. The STALKER license is finally back. After so many years of silence and uncertainty, the FPS / Survival / RPG is set to do a sequel next year and so much to say that impatience is great. This STALKER 2 is also very special because it will undoubtedly be the first in the series that a large number of players will play in. Because of this, the developer exercise is tricky.
