Stalker 2 promised a lot: an open world, a story that was as free as possible, dynamic day-night changes, NPC daily routines, nerve-wracking battles and all of that in chic Unreal Engine 5 splendor! At the first preview date in 2023, the role-playing shooter looked really great, but was technically in a desolate state. Developer GSC Game World reacted promptly and postponed the shooter. Stalker 2 plays exactly the way Stalker should play! And lo and behold: the delay is actually bearing fruit! Colleague Dimi has played a current demo of the shooter and can give the first all-clear. Stalker 2 ran almost smoothly in the preview version from a technical perspective and exudes a unique atmosphere even in the short play time.
