Game news STALKER 2 runs on Unreal Engine 5 and offers physical release
While STALKER 2 will be available in Game Pass after its release, the title is also eligible for a physical issue via Koch Media. The title also used this statement to announce that the engine chosen for this new episode is Unreal Engine 5.
Until the last E3, STALKER 2: The Heart of Chernobyl was a relatively discreet title for many years. On the occasion of the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2021, the Ukrainian studio GSC Game World presented a 5-minute trailer to finally reveal the release date of this long-awaited game: April 28, 2022 on Xbox Series X & PC. But while it was thought that the game would only be available in dematerialized form through Steam and the Epic Game Store on PC, and through Xbox Game Pass on Xbox Series and PC, Distributor Koch Media announced today that the title is also eligible for physical release.

The series’ official account on Twitter also announced that it would be one of the first titles to use the Unreal Engine 5 as a game engine. As a reminder, so far only a few games have declared using this new tool. but in ruins we can still quote Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate or eFootball PES 2022.
STALKER 2: The Heart of Chernobyl will be available for PC and Xbox Series on April 28th and will be part of Xbox Game Pass when it launches.
