Stanley’s Fables: Ultra-Luxuryis an expanded version of the 2013 first-person exploration game, with a late April release date given.
If you’re not familiar with the game, The Stanley Parable stars a simple-minded man named Stanley, who one day discovers that his office colleagues have mysteriously disappeared.
Determined to find missing answers, you’ll interact with environmental elements such as buttons and doors. There is no combat or any other action-based gameplay.
The story is told by the narrator (Kevin Britting), who explains that Stanley is employee 427, who monitors data from computer screens. His job is to push the button without question. One day, the screen surveillance data went blank, and Stanley began exploring the building. This is when he found out that the workplace had been abandoned.
Here, the story unfolds with various possibilities based on your choices. You can choose to follow the narrator’s advice or do the opposite. When doing the opposite of what the narrator suggests, the narrator will try to get you back on the target path to continue the story of the missing office worker. But if you keep contradicting the narrator, the story will be adjusted.
In the Ultra Deluxe Edition, everything from the original Stanley’s Fables is preserved as it was in 2013. But it also expands the original world with new content, new options, and new secrets.
Additionally, the game has been visually upgraded while faithfully retaining the tone of the original. Accessibility features have also been added to the game, including localization of world text, colorblind options, and content warnings.
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe Edition releases on April 27 on PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
