Cloud Imperium Games is hosting the Intergalactic Aerospace Expo, or IAE for short, again this year. Translated, this means: You can temporarily try the sci-fi hope Star Citizen free of charge and look at all kinds of spaceships that otherwise cost a lot of money.
Star Citizen, which has been in the works for many years, is still without a specific release date and is therefore far from a finished game version. Instead, another event will become a regular institution during the development phase: the Intergalactic Aerospace Expo, or IAE for short. This is an in-game fair where you can look at a number of spaceships in great detail – and of course this is accompanied by other activities.
The studio, founded by Wing Commander creator Chris Roberts in 2012, enables you to take a closer look at the otherwise paid pre-release version of Star Citizen on the occasion of IAE 2952. During the promotion period from November 18th to 30th, you can simply download the client and get started free-to-play. In this respect, you can then celebrate the ever-growing fleet of spaceships yourself.
The IAE 2942 is sponsored in-game for the first time by Drake Interplanetary, who also exhibit ships from other manufacturers in the game. During the fair there will also be various new products; the Drake Corsair, which is represented for the first time airworthy, makes the start on this front.
Otherwise, you can also use the IAE stage to fly the now more than 120 different spaceships in Star Citizen free of charge. In this respect, the experience is not just limited to ship tours at the Expo itself.
You can find more information about IAE 2952 in Star Citizen, including a schedule for the event can be found here on the official website.
