Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has announced a manga adaptation, with some initial details already confirmed, although there’s still no word on when it will be available for purchase.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Its Manga Adaptation

Both Fallen Order and Survivor are Star Wars games that are part of the Jedi saga, preceding a third installment that is already in development, once again with Cal Kestis as the protagonist.

It’s almost certain we’ll see it return on PC, Steam Deck, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S at the very least, even though the Switch 2 is set to launch in a few months and Nintendo’s successor is gaining momentum with several upcoming games.

But setting that aside for now, it looks like the Jedi is making the leap from video games to manga, with the character confirmed to receive a paper adaptation.

During the recent Star Wars Celebration Japanthere was a panel titled “Manga Mania!” where this project, among others in manga format, was showcased.

Manga Details Revealed

Apparently, the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order manga will be published by Disney Publishing, and we already have the first details, including the cover and a few sample pages.

The cover design is by Himitsu Yamamori, with illustrations by sak and coloring by totomo.

The first preview pages give us a look at the main crew of Cal Kestis: Cere Junda, Greez Dritus, and the Second Sister.

Responses to the Daily Star Wars Games tweet about the announcement have been mostly positive, although some fans are puzzled as to why Fallen Order is being adapted into a manga specifically.

We still don’t know additional details like the release date or pricing, so we’ll have to stay tuned for more information in the coming months.

Meanwhile, The Mandalorian and Grogu will bring back some of the most beloved characters from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderwho until now had only appeared in Respawn’s video game.

“I hope they include Order 66 and maybe do an anime adaptation later,” said one user. Maybe we’re getting ahead of ourselves—but hey, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners happened, didn’t it?
