Like The Last of Us: Part I, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor struggled with a lot of problems when it launched on the PC. Here, too, the developers are working under high pressure on optimizations – and now there is a first important patch.
Respawn Entertainment had recently commented on the existing performance problems in the PC version of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and promised improvements. Now action is being taken and the first important update is being released, which is intended to fix a number of errors and difficulties.
The corresponding patch log reads, among other things, that performance problems on the PC are being addressed, with the focus on non-ray tracing rendering; Players should see noticeable improvements here. Since the topic is not discussed in more detail in the log, it is left a bit open as to whether the frame rate drops or the errors in HDR rendering are generally a thing of the past. Presumably, Respawn should follow with further updates with optimizations in this regard.
Meanwhile, there should also be a first update for gamers on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S tomorrow, May 2nd. This will fix some bugs, including various crashes that were causing annoyance there. Rendering issues will also be addressed in the course of this on the two consoles.
