The Knights of the Old Republic series is one of the most popular and best Star Wars games ever. The second part is now celebrating a comeback on new platforms years after the original release.
Over 15 years after its original release, the cult title Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 returns. The game with the subtitle The Sith Lords should come to mobile platforms as early as December 18, 2020 and give you the opportunity to catch up on the title or to experience it again.
The release is planned for iPhone, iPad and Android alike, as confirmed by Lucasfilm. Aspyr Media will be responsible for the corresponding porting to the platforms.
“Fans have long been asking for a mobile version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2, and we’re excited to finally deliver that to them,” said Elizabeth Howard, VP of Publishing at Aspyr, euphorically. They are proud to continue working with Lucasfilm to bring classics to modern platforms.
The classic role-playing game is set five years after the events of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The Sith Lords have hunted the Jedi almost to extinction and the Old Republic is on the verge of ultimate collapse. The Republic’s only hope: a lone Jedi who must find his way back to power. You take on this role – and you also have to choose the light or dark side of power.
Your decision will have an impact on character, party and tasks. The characters appearing in the game also include fan favorites such as HK-47, Canderous Ordo or Kreia, which you can add to your party. The controls have been specially adapted to the touchscreen.
