Ubisoft makes radical decisions, as does Star Wars Outlaws. The game will soon undergo major changes. Massive Studio just shared everything coming in the coming weeks.
Ubisoft is in turmoil. Apparently, the French publisher and developer is finding it difficult to get rid of all his worries. We know that problems are not a thing of the past. The company has weathered storms and failures for years, so much so that we only remember them and unfortunately not the successes. Unfortunately, even if the games that come out are good or honest, they don’t perform well. This is the case, for example, with Star Wars Outlaws, which received generally good feedback but did not become a success as expected, forcing Ubisoft to make radical decisions.
Ubisoft is taking radical measures, and so is Star Wars Outlaws
We recently learned that Ubisoft is suddenly changing its strategy. The publisher no longer has any real choice if he wants to make ends meet. Nothing is lost yet, even if many players are already rejoicing in this descent into hell and forgetting that there are people behind the Ubisoft logo.
In any case, the company first announced the postponement of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the abandonment of its season pass and the release of all of its games on Steam from launch. Star Wars Outlaws, in turn, will land on the Valve platform in November and take the opportunity to get back on track. Massive studio had already warned us that they would work like crazy to improve the gaming experience and fix what was upsetting the community. With that in mind, the developers have just shared their roadmap, the roadmap for everything that happens.
There are big changes coming to the game
Hostilities have since begun next week Star Wars Outlaws will receive its first update on October 3rd which will bring a wave of major corrections. The second part will be released on October 24th and will focus on the entire user experience part. Finally November 21st, one final update will fix but also add issues with combat and infiltration completely free content. It will be on this day too The game will be released on Steam and that the first big DLC Game counting will be available.
At the moment we don’t have any further details about the content of these updates, but the studio will tell us more about them in the coming days and weeks.
So Star Wars Outlaws still has a long way to go and the studio wants to do it well. It now remains to be seen whether players will appreciate it and/or whether the game can take off again to meet Ubisoft’s expectations.
As a reminder, Star Wars Outlaws is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
