With some gameplay revealed during tonight’s Ubisoft Forward showcase, we’ve got a fresh look at Star Wars: Outlaws ahead of its official release on August 30th.
Kay Vess’ space villain tale was one of three headline titles teased ahead of time at this year’s Ubisoft Forward presentation, along with Assassin’s Creed: Shadow of War and XDefiant. The game was unveiled at the Summer Game Fest on Friday with a short trailer that was mostly meant to whet your appetite for more content today.

So, what did we get tonight? Well, some fresh gameplay showing Kay Vess and her old partner Nix hanging out in a cool-looking hub. It all feels very lived-in – none of that open, rather bland stuff you tend to see in some of the more bland Far Cry titles (I mean, some people who like Far Cry – Dom).
The game looks great, which is a good thing for Ubisoft, as this is the French publisher’s first time working with the series and it still has a lot to prove. Whether it’s flying on the ground in a dusty town or the very realistic space combat when she takes to the sky in a ship, this game seems to be firing on all cylinders.
We’ll be releasing a full preview of the game later today, so stay tuned as Connor goes into greater detail.
As we mentioned, Outlaws will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on August 30, so you’ll be able to unleash your inner Han Solo and show off your fearsome Jabba the Hutt image to all your friends very soon. Be sure to stay tuned for plenty of updates from us both before and after the game’s release.
