The event Star Wars Celebration He has left us a good consignment of news, among which is the new trailer for the Ahsoka series. It’s only a two-minute preview, but it has a lot of references, winks and more to other series and movies from the Star Wars Universe. Below we tell you what they are all so you do not miss a single one.
Ancient Jedi Temples
The first seconds of the trailer show us some ruins made up of many pillars and a clear central area. The columns have engravings reminiscent of the ancient jedi temples and other similar constructions that we have seen in Star Wars Rebels e incluso Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
It is likely that Ahsoka is investigating ancient jedi temples just like we see Ezra Bridger and Kanan Jarrus do in Star Wars Rebels. As this is happening, Ahsoka says, “Something is coming. Something dark. I’m sorry“. What answers is the former Padawan looking for?
Who is Baylan?
Ahsoka’s trailer shows a character named Mrs. (Ray Stevenson), whose first words we hear are: “This is a new beginning. For some… War. For others… Power“Who exactly is it? We could be facing a fallen jedi in the service of Grand Admiral Thrawn. According to Wiki Fandom from Star Wars, is a minor legend close to the Slicers or hackers:
Used to describe computer experts, often self-taught, who excelled at jobs within a complex computer network, and were able to extract information from this network with great skill. […] they used to build their own team.
From the Empire and the Republic, including the Jedi of the Old Republic, to various criminal organizations have requested the services of these individuals. Perhaps Baylan, fallen jedi, leads a group of these individuals. And it would make sense, because the color orange is associated with this type of Jedis.
Star Wars Rebels will be very present in Ahsoka
If you’re a fan of Star Wars Rebelsthen it is unlikely that you have missed the appearance of three characters from the main cast: the colorful Mandalorian Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), the rebel pilot Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and the jolly astromech droid Chopper.
And the thing with Star Wars Rebels does not end here. The trailer also shows a glimpse of the Planeta Lothal and the tower that Ezra Bridger uses as a refuge.
Finally, the following image shows Sabine Wren talking to who appears to be Ezra Bridger, although it is not entirely clear why we cannot see his characteristic lightsaber. Although it is very possible, we cannot say for sure.
Mon Mothma, a legend to the Rebel Alliance
fans of the series Andor they will also have seen a familiar face. We talk about Mom Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly), a Chandrilan senator and revolutionary leader. She championed peace during the Clone Wars during the Galactic Republic, held her seat in the Imperial Senate during the rise of the Galactic Empire, became a major founder of the Rebel Alliance, and was ultimately the first Chancellor of the New Republic.
We’ve seen her in The Clone Wars, Andor, Star Wars Rebels, Return of the Jedi, Revenge of the Sith, and Rogue One. Needless to say, she’s a very, very important figure in the Star Wars universe.
The return of Grand Admiral Thrawn
Once again, Star Wars Rebels fans have been able to see a familiar face. Ahsoka’s trailer has allowed us a glimpse of the Grand Admiral Thrawn (original name: Mitth’raw’nuruodo), one of the most fearsome Imperial leaders the Star Wars universe has ever known. His philosophy is based on know your enemies To defeat them, for this he studies their cultures. To give us an idea of his power: he faced the Mandalorians and emerged victorious.
He participated in the Clone Wars, where he met Anakin Skywalker. He joined the Empire and quickly rose to Grand Admiral, eventually commanding the Seventh Fleet. His mission was to defeat the rebels. He was sent to Lothal by Vader during the closing stages of Star Wars Rebels. Ultimately, he was present at the rise of The First Order.
Huyang, a former Jedi Master
The fans of The Clone Wars Those with a better memory will remember Huyang, a Mark IV droid architect and teacher on the Jedi Crucible ship. His task for hundreds of generations was teach Jedi Initiatesincluding Master Yoda and Mace Windu themselves, to build their lightsabers after the assembly.
The phrase that Huyang says during the trailer is as hopeful as it is discouraging: “Maybe it’s time to start again“. We don’t know how the droid got to what appears to be the planet Lothal or what relevance it will have in the series. Whatever it is, it’s been a joy to see it again.
A little nod to Rogue One
The last reference is a nod to the very famous scene from Darth Vader in Rogue One and A New Hope, when he enters the rebel ship laying waste to the entire world with his sword and the Force. On this occasion, the killing of rebels is carried out by Mrs.. Everything indicates that this will be the classic “executioner villain” of the series.
These are all the references and winks that we have found in the Ahsoka trailer. As a last detail, note that Ahsoka wears the two white swords (purity and exile), symbolizing that he is officially off the Jedi path. It is somewhat similar to a Ronin. What do you think of the references? Have we missed any? The comments are all yours.
