After Star Wars Andor and while Obi-Wan Kenobi is in full broadcast, uA new series called Star Wars: Skeleton Crew has been announced with Jude Law. Rumors about this series circulated under the code name Grammar Rodeo. We will follow the adventures of a group of teenagers who got lost in the galaxy. Your goal will be to return home. If we don’t know what role Jude Law will play, initial concept art has been released. We see four young people in front of a ship that is about to land. We also don’t know who these children are, but a casting call was aired to look for four of them, aged 10 and 11.
A series not just for children
Despite this relatively young cast, the director has confirmed that it won’t necessarily be a series for children. Instead, it should look like “a galactic take on classic ’80s adventure films from Amblin Studios.” It is directed by Jon Watts and written by Chris Ford, who recently worked on Spider-Man: Homecoming. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni will also serve as executive producers. It will take place after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and should involve the same timeline as The Mandalorian or Ahsoka.
The Star Wars: Skeleton Crew series is expected to hit Disney+ in 2023
