The current Star Wars: Squadrons is the next title to be updated for the new PS5 and Xbox Series X / S consoles. Here we give you an overview of what you can look forward to specifically.
Have you got yourself a new PS5 or Xbox Series X / S and continue to gamble on the current Star Wars: Squadrons? Then you have reason to be happy, because the developers have now made a fresh update for the game available, which is especially dedicated to the new consoles.
The patch is version number 3.0 and also brings improvements in terms of user interface, controls, social aspects and more. For next-gen buyers, however, the main focus should be on the fact that the game will also be specially adapted for the new platforms and will benefit from their greater performance.
On the Xbox Series X / S there is now up to 120 fps and 4K functionality, so that you can enjoy the game more smoothly and with a higher resolution. The players can choose whether they want to focus on performance or optics.
On the PS5, there is no explicit mention of 120 fps or 4K in the patch log. Rather, the developers refer to a generally higher graphic quality and lighting. In both cases, support for variable frame rates has been added – assuming a corresponding TV or screen.
The game will continue to be supplied with fresh content in the future. EA has new cards as well as spaceships up its sleeve. Most recently, the developer Motive also received some content relating to the Disney series “The Mandalorian”. The complete patch log for version 3.0 can be found on the official website.
