Originally released for PC in early 2016, Stardew Valley has blossomed into an absolute indie hit and has subsequently been released for other platforms. Now two spin-offs for the game are in the works, as the makers have now confirmed.

Which success Stardew Valley will actually have, that developer Eric Barone himself could not have dreamed of. After the successful PC release, implementations for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Mobile and PS Vita followed – and by the end of 2019 more than 10 million players had already struck the title.
But how is the franchise going to continue? A fan asked himself this question and addressed himself directly to Barone, who is now via Twitter has reacted. There he now confirms that he is currently working on two new game projects. One of them is clearly in the world of Stardew Valley itself, but it won't be a farming game. The other still nameless title should at least also create a connection to Stardew Valley.
Yes, I'm actually working on a couple of new projects. One takes place in the world of Stardew Valley, but is not a farming game. The other, I'm not 100% sure about the world yet, but it will tie into Stardew Valley in some way

The creator of the indie success title, however, directly brakes expectations of an early release. In view of the tweeting reporting, he asks not to let too much hype spark. He just wanted to work "without great pressure and expectations" on the projects, which are obviously still quite a while away.
His goal is not to "deliver the next big indie smash hit". "I just want to make another game that I enjoy and that I'm happy with. I want to share my art and ideas with the world. If it gets popular, I'll be happy, but that's not my primary focus," so barons.
Both games, Barons added opposite IGN, like Stardew Valley, should also be played from a bird's eye view and are 2D single-player titles. By the way, Stardew Valley itself is still getting fresh updates. Version 1.4.5 has just been released for the PC.
