Since the release of update 1.6 Stardew ValleyConcernedApe has been busy, releasing 5 patch updates in the past month or so, the most recent being 1.6.6.
While 1.6.2 and 1.6.3 are primarily focused on fixes and QoL updates, the developers recently released Patch 1.6.4, which adds fish madness, new cutscenes, and four new fairy tale styles. It also features 40 mine layouts, 20 “alternatives” after reaching the bottom of the mines, and 20 new volcano layouts that appear after unlocking the shortcut between the crater and the volcano entrance.
With the patch, you can now put eight additional non-fish items into your fish tank, the Raccoon Shop now includes deals on Mystery Boxes and Golden Mystery Boxes, vinegar can now be poured on trees to stop their growing moss, And Shaving Ward now causes tree-specific drops.
The patch notes for 1.6.4 also include a semi-long list of fixes, which can be viewed here .
Unfortunately, patch 1.6.4 has some issues, but thankfully, Patch 1.6.5 Corrected the problem. This patch fixes a rare crash that could occur in the Mines, people using the mod shouldn’t have any issues loading saves, fixes a crash that would occur when loading Dark Mines levels in some cases, and broken villager NPCs (usually (Due to removal of the mod) ) is now removed on load. They are reborn when they are added back to the data.
ConcernedApe didn’t stop there: the developers released patch 1.6.6 less than 24 hours ago.
The patch also contains a ton of fixes as well as some balance and gameplay changes, such as hives now working with flowers in pots, the minecart warehouse alternative layout now only appears in the upper or lava mine areas, and you can now turn the golden clock to turn it on or off , 50% Mastery XP now only applies to farming, as originally intended.
