Stardew Valley and Haunted Chocolatier developer, Eric Barone (aka ConcernedApe) has announced on social networks news that affects both video games: one will receive new content with an update and the other will temporarily pause its development.
The stardew valley update 1.06 was originally announced last year and will mostly focus on “improvements to make modding easierFar from disappointing his fans, Barone also announced that there will be some new content for the game. Of course, he warned fans that “temper expectations
Translation: There will be a Stardew 1.6 update. These are mostly changes for modders (which will make it easier and more powerful to mod). But there’s new gameplay content too, albeit a lot less than 1.5. I’m taking a break from Haunted Chocolatier to work on this now. Then I go back to HC.
An user replied to the tweet asking about the content that update 1.6 will add and the developer confirmed that “the new update will have some more dialogs” and that are currently being added to the video game. Ultimately, it will be “much less than present in 1.5“, which brought with it great modifications and new features such as a new type of farm, an advanced options menu to modify aspects of the game and the cooperative split-screen mode.
Although they will not be big changes and not much content, it has been enough for Barone to pause the development of his current project: Haunted Chocolatier. This game was announced in October 2021. It does not have an estimated release date. Its development is going well and this pause is only due to the update of Stardew Valley.
