starry sky Owning everything a game needs to be the next big thing. From the studio that brought us the world fall out, The Elder Scrolls Besides, the upcoming Xbox Exclusive preparation is huge. Huge, in fact. This is probably the most important thing in the game since Elden Ring.
However, considering that Starfield will release on PC and Xbox Series X/S on November 11, we know very little about it. Bethesda noted that it wanted the title to be “a vision of the future based on reality,” but it’s hard to get information beyond that.
Luckily, Dorrani has donned his helmet and snuggled into the comfy cockpit seat, and embarked on his own interstellar journey – gathering every byte of information we’ve known about the game so far, creating an informative The video outlines everything you need to know about Starfield before the game kicks off later this year. Check it out above, or read on for a quick summary of everything we know so far about Bethesda’s otherworldly “NASA Punk.”
This is Bethesda’s first new IP in 25 years
We’ve probably gotten a ton of games from Bethesda’s other studios (Arkane, id Software, etc.) over the past few decades, but Starfield will be the first honest new universe from Bethesda Game Studios in 25 years. There’s been some talk about the quality of recent The Elder Scrolls and Fallout games, so let’s hope Starfield turns the game around and – unfortunately – isn’t too hot at launch.
You are exploring the frontiers of the universe…
In the game, you play as a space explorer and join a team called Constellation, trying to unravel the mysteries of this new universe. According to Bethesda boss Todd Howard, Constellation “is like NASA meets Indiana Jones meets League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, a group of people still looking for answers,” Howard said.
…but there are other factions too
Howard also noted that there will be multiple other factions in the game, “in terms of the game structure, it’s kind of like Skyrim, where you’re going to be who you want to be, and then there are different factions you can join and really carve your own path. “One faction is called the 3-Star Collective – and they’re all in “Space West Fantasy.” Space Cowboy, anyone?
Starfield is set in a huge new open world called the “Settlement System”…
As a member of a constellation, you will travel to many different planets, each with its own unique theme and environment. Bethesda says it will have “unparalleled freedom” — for example, from the studio that introduced the world to Skyrim, which says a lot.
…it’s bloody huge
So how big is the sky? Well, Bethesda is saying that the game is big enough (and has so many degrees of freedom) that if you talk to your friends about it, it sounds like “they’re playing something completely different from you” . However, is this just lip service? We’ll have to wait and see.
It will have city-like hubs/hub planets
Bethesda has shared snippets of information about the three main worlds;
- Akira City – People there are all looking for freedom and individuality.
- Neon City – Set on an aquatic world where fishermen find a special fish that can be turned into a drug.
- new atlantis city – The seat of the United Colony.
What other ridiculous settings would we have in the game? We’ll just have to wait and see.
You will have companions (if you will)
As is now a classic in Bethesda RPGs, you also have the option to have companions join you on your journey – the developers are taking steps to make them more real and believable as allies by providing actions and voice lines that better reflect your situation precise. They’ll also respond better to what you’re doing at any given moment. So try not to be too weird, eh?
it’s full of sonic flair
So far, it has been confirmed that there are more than 150,000 satellite voice lines! By comparison, Fallout 4 has 111,000 people and Skyrim has 60,000 people. Hope you have a good headset!
set at 2310
The game is set in the year 2310 and revolves around a more solid vision of what the future of space will look like – trying to work on technology that is scientifically feasible. Todd Howard even went to Elon Musk’s company SpaceX to get some inspiration and a more realistic look at what space technology could look like.
yes it has aliens
There are some alien-like monsters and creatures in the world that can be dangerous to you. For example, just outside the city walls of Akira, there is a monster called Ashtar, a hybrid of a werewolf and a raptor. rough. But we also got a quick look at the human threats in the settled galaxy: mercenaries, Crimson Fleet pirates, violent spacers, and more… dangerous in space.
It’s built around the “step out moment”
Todd Howard talks about the “going out moment” – the first time players are introduced to the world they’re playing in and properly immersed in their new environment. According to Howard, there are at least two such big moments in Starfield; let’s assume one is when you first step out of your ship and into a massive, highly detailed planet, and the other is when you leave a planet into space.. ….and seeing the scale of this thing for the first time. Exciting!
There is an in-depth customization kit
Of course, Starfield is an RPG. So that means your role will be your own – and every developer can create whoever you want. So expect to see some very deep customization options. But it’s probably not very similar to what you’ve seen before: Todd Howard has said that players somehow know what to expect with things like stats and traits in modern RPGs, and the studio wanted to take a different approach to making it The game feels fresh. curious.
Starfield has been preparing for 10 years…
Starfield is Bethesda’s dream game…but it’s just a real-life project on game hardware that existed before. The studio has actually been talking about Starfield internally for about 10 years – new technology, next-gen platforms and a whole new engine to build it all mean the studio’s vision is finally possible. Based on Creation Engine 2, we’ll also see The Elder Scrolls 6 will use the same technology (whenever it comes out).
..and looking to the next 10 years
Bethesda built the game with longevity in mind, and in its Endless Quest video, the studio said it essentially wanted Starfield to “stand the test of time.” Like Skyrim, its epic fantasy is still being talked about. Well, Starfield may also be ported to every imaginable technology in the future.
