Starfield and Redfall postponed
We’ll have to wait even longer before we can get our hands on Starfield and Redfall. In a press release published on Twitter on May 12 Bethesda has stated that they are delaying the release of these two games to early 2023.. A legitimate shift to give the teams at Bethesda Games Studio (for Starfield) and Arkane Austin (for Redfall) the opportunity to refine their own games:
We have made the decision to delay the release of Redfall and Starfield to the first half of 2023. The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to make sure they get the best possible versions of these titles.
Gameplay coming soon?
In addition, Bethesda clarifies that it “can’t wait to share his first big gameplay videos for Redfall and Starfield soon“. Despite this sad news of the postponement, therefore, it is not excluded to see these titles in action soon. Two weeks ago, Xbox announced that it would organize an event with Bethesda to talk about the games coming to its ecosystem. An event that will take place next Sunday, June 12, on a date reminiscent of E3
As a reminder, Starfield is a creation of Bethesda Game Studios and is believed to be one by the project’s executive producer, Todd Howard “Skyrim in space“. It is a single player RPG, playable in first or third person perspective and set in the 2330s. The player joins the organization constellation and is one of the last human explorers of the galaxy. Shown during E3 2021, Redfall is less talkative. We know that it was developed by Arkane Austin (Prey), that it is an open world FPS with solo and co-op.
