»Was, that still appears? ”This question was heard a lot when we put together a list of the most important games of 2022 to cover on the podcast. Because the game year 2022 will be as full as it has been for a long time.
Accordingly, Micha, Dimi and Rae are falling apartwithu the madness trying to catalog this tidal wave – by the way, cross-platform for PC and consoles.

The open world genre alone is likely to groan under overload: Dying Light 2, Elden Ring, Horizon: Forbidden West, Elex 2, Forspoken – that’s just a selection of open world games that await us in the first half of 2022. And then there are Starfield, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and probably Assassin’s Creed Infinity.
Dragon Age 4, Bioshock 4, Microsoft’s reboot of Perfect Dark and many other titles also dangle above our heads as the swords of Damocles. They don’t have an official release date, but we expect short-term announcements for 2022. We cannot even completely rule out a hypothetical Civilization 7 in 2022.
Some could, however, shift further, such as Diablo 4, which Blizzard was supposed to put back on track after the scandals of 2021 and the departure of several executives. Or they build in NFT items and knock it out, nowadays you never know.
What are we really looking forward to in this chaos, and why it would be a shame that the little ones are drowning in the shadows of the big ones – you can hear it on the podcast.
