Back in June, we got a long look at Starfield, Bethesda’s massive space RPG.We knew it was absolutely massive, because not only would there be massive procedurally generated planets and over 250,000 lines of dialogue, but there would also be 125GB The same goes for storage space.
Starfield is out now on PC and Xbox Series X/S, and pre-orders are already open. For those with enough free space on the SSD, this is not a problem (Starfield must installed to), but those with an Xbox might not be too happy.
The 125GB of Starfield will actually take up a quarter of the Xbox Series S’s storage space, and about an eighth of the Xbox Series X’s space.
Make no mistake, it doesn’t take much to fill up the Xbox Series S’s storage (I managed to use only I saved multiple files on the go for Resident Evil 4 Remake, oops), but those keen to play Starfield may want to clean up their consoles or get their hard drives before the game launches.
Starfield will be widely available after launch on September 6, and fans of the standard edition of the game will be priced at $69.99 in the US and £59.99 in the UK.
However, if you want to get your hands on it early, players who pre-order the Starfield Premium Edition will be able to play the game five days early on September 1st. However, this version of the game is priced at $99.99 in the US and £99.99 in GBP. 85.99 in the UK.
Last but not least, those who don’t want to spend the money can enjoy Starfield from day one with an Xbox Game Pass membership.
