Resident Evil 4, Baldur’s Gate 3… The big announcements

Following this VR presentation, there were some notable announcements. A trailer for Destiny 2’s Lightfall expansion was released before giving way to the highly anticipated Tchia: an independent game with a very cartoonish artistic bent, sometimes reminiscent of certain pages of the Zelda license. The release date has been announced for March 21, when it will also be included in the Extra and Premium tiers of the PlayStation Plus subscription service.. What serves the conversion since the process are the monthly additions related to the catalog with Battlefield, Code Vein and Minecraft which arrives in March.

It is humanity, arguably the evening’s most enigmatic game to be featured: a title in which the player embodies a spiritual guide in the form of a dog. It accompanies humans with a simple bark to help them find the light. Compatible with PS VR2, the title is expected for the month of May. It’s then Goodbye Volcano High, the narrative game with humanoid dinosaurs dated by a gameplay sequence: until next June 15th.

The last part of this half of the presentation still had it under the elbow. After his return to the Netflix platformNaruto returns in a new opus from Versus Fighting Naruto X Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections expected for 2023. Fans of western role-playing games should also have been very happy about that Baldur’s Gate 3 is finally leaving Early Access and will be available on August 31st for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.. Announced at the Game Awards, RPG Wayfinder used the State of Play to broadcast its first gameplay trailer, as well as the upcoming arrival of its Early Access.

Finally, that segment ended with the Capcom announcements. Three characters will join the Street Fighter VI roster as Zangief, Lily and Cammy will be available for the game: see you on June 2nd for the title release. Resident Evil 4, expected on March 24th on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam), will be the subject of a special demo for those who want to try it. A VR mode and a mode mercenary are under development and distributed free of charge.

Suicide Squad: The Big Piece

The highlight of the State of Play show, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, showed up for a brief quarter at the end of the event. The opportunity to remind players that the events of this game developed by Rocksteady take place five years after those of Arkham Knight: Harley Quinn and her colleagues must defeat a Justice League corrupted by Brainiac. The player must then rely on the four protagonists alone (or with several, as four-player co-op is possible) to put an end to this evil dream.

On that subject, Rocksteady developers have promised that content will be created after the main scenario ends. New characters will be playable and new weapons will be integrated. Enough to bring the game to life on paper, as a Battle Pass is also planned and will only offer cosmetic rewards. Finally it’s actually the estimated release date that has finally been revealed: Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is now scheduled May 26, 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
