Steam set a new record for the most users online at the same time.

steam In terms of the number of concurrent online players, it once again broke its own record. On January 2, Steam reached its peak 25,416,720 online user.

This is Steam’s first record in the new year, but it is the other three highest records set in March last year, when the global lockdown was only just beginning due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Of course, not in all 25 million games. In fact, the vast majority of people just log in and chat or stay idle. According to SteamDB data, when Steam broke records, only about 7.5 million were actively playing games. This is standard.
