For a paltry two dollars and a few crushed ones you get the rights to use a digital copy of Tomb Raider. Graphically, the game is still impressive today. Above all Lara’s hair blowing dynamically in the wind caused amazement thanks to the then new TressFX technology from AMD. A Definitive Edition update has since replaced the protagonist’s face with a new visage.
Anyone who has never played this classic of the genre should buy it now, even if very old series veterans have to adapt. Because despite mostly optional puzzle tombs, the “new” Tomb Raider has something to offer when it comes to gameplay has little to do with the original series
