Good news for character action fans who are watching sony game state tonight, as Star Blade (Formerly Project Eve) was just revealed with a brand new gameplay and story trailer.The game isn’t just a proper name, as we now know the title is coming 2023 dedicated to PS5.
The new trailer, embedded below, shows off a lot of great difficult, combo-centric melee action like we saw in Project Eve’s initial trailer last year. Now, it looks like the action has only been tuned to 11 in time away from the spotlight, and the sci-fi fight leaves us foaming at the mouth.
In the trailer, we’re introduced to a variety of new friendly characters who fight alongside us across a devastated and largely abandoned world. It seems like a massive disaster has swept the place up, causing all sorts of nasty (and frankly, pretty-looking) enemies all over the place.
The obvious comparison here is Devil May Cry 5, and of course, Angel Hunt. Both have established themselves as equally good character action games with some serious industry talent behind them. Stellar Blade appears to be a new team fighting the beloved oldies, with a new South Korean studio creating the solo Stellar Blade.
It also gives us another PS5 exclusive game. Bad news for those who stuck with the previous generation and wanted to pick it up, but good news for those of us who grabbed the console last year and wondered where the main reason to actually own it was.
