Stellaris, originally released for the PC in 2016, will continue to be replenished. The space epic is now to receive a major expansion with “Overlord”.
Paradox Interactive has now officially confirmed the “Overlord” add-on for Stellaris. This should of course give you access to new features, which in this case will focus on a more complex management of your intergalactic empires. In the course of this you can expect specialized vassals up to powerful new megastructures.
“Overlord” is said to be available for the PC shortly, without a specific release date having been mentioned. The add-on is accompanied by the free update to version 3.4, which is called “Cepheus”. There is also new content and adjustments for all players in this update.
The expansion itself unlocks a new level of empire management. The specialized minion roles mentioned allow you to either lead the planets in your realm to unprecedented heights of glory or keep them under control. New enclaves will offer unprecedented opportunities and challenges. A selection of novel megastructures will provide alternatives to expand power farther and faster. Five new origins, new music, and more features will be included when Overlord launches later this year.
You can see the first trailer for the add-on below.
