There is also new content coming up for the Stellaris console edition. As Paradox confirmed as part of an in-house event, the fourth expansion pass will start as early as the new month of June.
The fourth expansion pass for Stellaris: Console Edition should start on June 17, 2021 – and thus in a few weeks. Paradox Interactive confirmed this in the course of an in-house event. The beginning will be the new DLC called “Federations”.
The new expansion focuses on the galactic community and its internal politics. In doing so, you will gain advanced diplomatic skills in order to establish a powerful galactic senate. You will therefore be able to prove your political skills on an astronomical level in the future.
Officially, the key features of this first DLC pack are stated as follows:
- Extended federations: With advanced diplomacy skills, players can strengthen the internal cohesion of their federations and unlock powerful rewards for all members. Whether you join a trade alliance, a war alliance, or a hegemony, any membership can be extremely beneficial.
- Galactic Community: Space empires gather in a galactic senate that can vote on a wide range of resolutions to advance legislative agendas. For example, players can pass a resolution to expand collective defense commitments or to distribute profits towards wealthy elites. Members can also sanction those who oppose the community and waive a single galactic focus. Players influence the Senate to position themselves as leaders, exchange favors and do whatever it takes to gain influence among the schemers.
- Origin: Every empire has a story that shapes its path. Players are now giving their civilization deeper roots with the new Origins system. By choosing an origin, players can expand the background of their empire and change its starting conditions. Whether it’s void dwellers who left their homeworld to live in eternal orbit or a society that worships and protects a mighty tree of life, players should carefully plant the seeds of their empire.
- New constructions: Players construct glorious new projects for their empire, such as the Juggernaut, a massive mobile star base that offers a mobile repair base even in hostile territory, or the Mega Shipyard, a new mega structure that can eject fleets at incredible speeds. They offer both tactical advantages and a good dose of shock and / or awe and are sure to be an asset to any space empire.
In the course of the year, the two add-ons “Ancient Relics Story Pack” and the “Necroids Species Pack” will follow as part of the expansion pass. The former lets you discover the ruins of long-lost civilizations in Relic Worlds, while the latter offers a new selection of portraits, civilians, ship sets and more.
