It has a lot to do with disbelief. When Micha raved about Stellaris for the first time after his Gamescom revelation in 2015, the editors ridiculed him. A paradox strategy game? Oh come on, we can move Excel tables back and forth.
Hunt too: Showdown met with skepticism early on. On the one hand, because the Early Access phase starts bumpy, but above all because Crytek after the Near bankruptcy is no longer on any play-fun slip of paper. What, can they still make good games?
Both are actually very good games – and we go through world history with the verbal Wololo stick so that you pay attention to them, even if you prefer other genres or settings. Otherwise you will miss something special.
