Filming for the second season of “The Last of Us” has begun and is already the victim of a new leak. An important scene from the game TLOU 2 is confirmed through this preview.

Pedro Pascal is released from Gladiator 2 and was finally able to join the set of the second season of The Last of Us. And it was about time, even though we now know the series won’t return to HBO Max until 2025. Filming began in British Columbia, a province in western Canada, and didn’t really go unnoticed. Especially because teams had the opportunity to recreate the city of Jackson with their own sets. And as is often the case, it attracted a few curious people who pulled out their smartphones.

Another leak for the second season of The Last of Us series

The Last of Us series already had the rights to stolen images and through this we were able to see the city of Jackson recreated from scratch. An investment used in part to reproduce a key scene in the relationship between Joel and Ellie from the second game. This isn’t the biggest spoiler ever, but if you haven’t touched TLOU 2 yet, go ahead now!!!

Since the end of The Last of Us and Joel’s lie to Ellie, the surrogate father-daughter relationship between the two characters has deteriorated. And one sequence in particular underlines this: it is the ball at which the young woman dances with her friend Dina. A soaring moment for the couple, but it’s interrupted by a resident who isn’t really thrilled with what he sees. Joel steps in to defend Ellie at all costs, but Ellie doesn’t recognize the man’s protective gesture and pushes him away. A direct result of the lie from the previous adventure that enabled the young woman’s rescue.

As we can see in the video below, this prom scene between Ellie and Dina will be featured in Season 2 of the TLOU series. But given the symbolism of this sequence, could it be otherwise? Not really. Beyond this passage, it’s entirely possible that all of Jackson’s moments will be expanded upon with pieces from The Last of Us 2.
