After it was announced that the new State of Play will have a focus on Asian developers, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin was a hot candidate. In fact, a new trailer was shown, but a new demo was also released.
For the latest installment of the State of Play video format, Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja had an unexpected surprise in store for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin yesterday. Not only was a new trailer for the spin-off that was to be expected presented in advance, but a new demo was also released.
This year marks the 35th anniversary of the Final Fantasy franchise with Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. While the first Final Fantasy was released on December 18, 1987, the latest addition to the RPG series is now coming to us on March 18 – but you can get an idea of it in advance from now on.
Following a short new trailer, which you can check out below, the release of the new trial version was announced right at last night’s State of Play. There were already demos for the game beforehand, but since then the makers have noticeably reworked the release of the full version and also taken player feedback into account.
In the new demo you can explore the Grotto of Pravoca, the West Castle and the Temple of Chaos. There are also new jobs that weren’t available in the previous two demos, and new combat styles to try against a variety of new enemies. Also the co-op mode2
Interesting detail: Progress from the demo that has now been released can then finally be transferred to the later full version in a few days.
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will be released on March 18, 2022 for PS4 and PS5, but also for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
