The “Stranger Things” writers are currently working on many projects. Now something new is added. The Duffer brothers will produce a new mystery series for Netflix with an unusual setting.
Matt and Ross Duffer have big plans for the future. The people behind the popular series “Stranger Things” are to create a new mystery series for Netflix. The still quite cryptic name of the work is “The Boroughs”.
There is already initial information about the setting. It’s supposed to be a supernatural mystery series. Set in an apparently quaint little settlement in the New Mexico desert, the protagonists must stop otherworldly threats from stealing time, like the US online portal Deadline reported. The series will have a total of eight episodes.
However, the new series is far from the only project on which the directors known as the Duffer brothers are working. With their own production company “Upside Down Pictures” they are still working on a series based on the “Death Note” anime, a play and a cartoon series based on “Stranger Things” and of course on the fifth season of the popular sci-fi hit .
