That was fast. Just moments after Stormgate’s Kickstarter campaign launched, the target is pulverized and by now the veterans of the genre have already more than 1.250.000 Euro collected.

Stormgate: The real-time strategy game shows what settlement construction and battles currently look like
Stormgate is a new, Free2Play real-time strategy game the Frost Giant Studios team, which includes former developers of Warcraft 3 and StarCraft 2. The specially created setting fuses fantasy and science fiction: Demons meet mechs.
Otherwise, Stormgate will be what connoisseurs of the genre expect: a real-time strategy game with a campaign, editor and multiplayer as well as the possibility of co-op.
Factions: When Early Access starts next February, there will initially be two factions, Infernal Host and Human Vanguard. But the developers are already teasing a third one, which will probably be added in the first year – and perhaps even more will follow.
Snowplay: The core of Stormgate’s marketing is its technology. Not only should the title be able to display more than a thousand units smoothly at the same time thanks to the Unreal Engine 5, but Snowplay is also working in the substructure.
This is self-developed software that is intended to provide a previously unknown gaming experience. The developers advertise that the units 3x more responsive than Starcraft 2.
When will Stormgate be released? Stormgate will enter early access in February 2024, according to its Kickstarter page. From here on out it should Year Zero start. During this time, for example, the various stretch goals from the Kickstarter campaign should be implemented. Some of these include a 3v3 mode.
Anyone who wants to follow the title will find it here is the Steam page.
What do you think about Stormgate? Does this very classic real-time strategy experience appeal to you? Will you check it out as soon as it goes into early access or would you rather wait until it’s actually finished? Are you perhaps even one of the backers on Kickstarter? Or maybe you don’t like the setting? Please let us know your opinion in the comments.
