Remember: during the presentation of the PS5, Sony had highlighted Stray, a mysterious game in which we played a … cat. A year later, the focus is finally on this seductive title with a first gameplay trailer with a sophisticated atmosphere.

Annapurna Interactive has a knack for sniffing out good projects, and this Stray developed by BlueTwelve is definitely an app that catches our eye: We play a cat who has mysteriously landed in a futuristic world, populated by robots with difficult lives who have to find their way back in the neon light. On his way, our hairy protagonist will meet B-12, a drone that will serve him as both a guide and a translator

, and even a weapon to protect against “zurks,” disgusting organic creatures.

It wasn’t exactly clear what form Stray would take, but this first gameplay trailer sets the tone: The title will combine long stages of the platform with others of puzzles and even action, race-chases in support.

We will note the special care given to the animations and artistic direction that promise an experience with an auspicious atmosphere, with an obvious relationship to affection between the animal and the creatures that (sometimes) surround it.

If it were released on PS5 and PC this year (via steam), some changes have finally been made on this page: Stray will purr with us “early 2022” on the platforms mentioned above but also on PS4.
