GTA 5 may be 11 years old, but it is still capable of delivering a massive graphical slap in the face that newer games have no reason to be ashamed of, as this video brilliantly illustrates.
Of course, for GTA 5 to stand up to current graphics standards like Cyberpunk 2077, it’s necessary to play through lots of mods and have a PC powerful enough to run everything. This is exactly what the famous YouTube channel Digital Dreams proves to us in a new, truly impressive 8K video.
Organized crime in GTA 5 more realistic than ever before
After eleven years of existence, GTA 5 is one of the greatest sacred monsters in video games and one of the best-selling games of all time. Originally released at the end of their lifespan for Xbox 360 and PS3, it’s inevitably a bit dated. However, it can count on a community of passionate modders that remains in very good shape graphically. With a series of mods, Digital Dreams offers us a journey through the streets of Los Santos bordering on photorealism in a new 8K video.
Whether it’s about lighting effects, reflections or the quality of the textures, GTA 5 is still able to impress us visually, of course with a lot of effort. Digital Dreams magnifies everything even further with its famous and very robust ReShade, but it is only available to subscribers of its Patreon. The result definitely makes us dream of a GTA 6 when it becomes available for PC one day.
However, to take full advantage of this completely graphically updated version of GTA 5, a real PC racing car is required. In this sense, the YouTube channel states that it recorded the video below in 8K with a machine equipped with an RTX 4090, a Ryzen 9 7950X processor, 64 GB of DDR4 5 6000 MHz RAM and a fast SSD. Certainly paid for with the dirty money of organized crime, as in the case of GTA 5.
