After the flop of Suicide Squad, developer Rocksteady is now facing further consequences in the form of layoffs.
The wave of layoffs in the video game industry continues – and this time it’s the developer studio Rocksteady that’s hit. The studio recently made a big mistake with Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and everything else was a bestseller. This is now leading to consequences.
According to new reports, more than half of the quality assurance department has been laid off as part of a restructuring. Eurogamer reports that the QA department has been cut from 33 to just 15 employees.
Our English-speaking colleagues also report that other people are affected, as well as just employees in the QA department. Some former employees have also spoken out via social media.
