The sparrows were already whistling it from the rooftops, but now it’s official: The new Suicide Squad will not appear in May as planned. Instead, you have to make do with a pretty blatant shift.
The rumor mill was already buzzing, above all due to a report by the well-known business magazine Bloomberg. It said that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will not appear as planned on May 26, 2023 – that is the release date communicated so far. And that’s exactly how it’s officially done! However, the shift is noticeably more blatant than previously speculated.
While Bloomberg In March, a later release date in the current year 2023 was announced, the official announcement of the postponement is now waiting with a nastier surprise: Suicide Squad will no longer be on the market this year!
After all: Developer Rocksteady Studios doesn’t keep the fans in suspense, but directly mentions a new release date. Accordingly, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League should now be available from February 2, 2024. A statement via Twitter said: “We have made the difficult but necessary decision to take the time needed to continue working to make the game the best possible gaming experience for players.”
For the spiritual successor to Rocksteady’s Batman Arkham series, it is already the second postponement, as the title was originally supposed to be released in 2022. Most recently, the game was presented in detail as part of a State of Play in February. In this context, the unpopular fact that the title should require a permanent internet connection – even in the single-player modes – became public.
