The Summer Game Fest has replaced E3 as the big summer event in the games industry – and this year again countless developers and publishers are on board, including Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation.
The Summer Game Fest 2024 is getting closer and closer and a total of 55 developers and publishers from the games industry have now been confirmed in advance, who will be honored at the event by presenter and journalist Geoff Keighley. The format had, in a sense, replaced the previous US trade fair E3 during the Corona pandemic and has since become more than established.
This year, the big opening show for the event is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 7, 2024. The venue is the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, which served as the venue for the last edition. For two hours, starting at 11 p.m. German time, there will be world premieres, new announcements and tons of trailers. Last year, for example, Mortal Kombat 1, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Palworld and Lies of P were announced there.
A lot can be expected again this year, as it has now been confirmed that a whopping 55 gaming companies will be represented at the event. These include numerous large publishers such as 2K, Capcom, Bandai Namco, Electronic Arts, Epic Games, WB Games and Ubisoft, as well as the console heavyweights Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation.
