Super Mario: Charles Martinet hopes to double it up until his death … and even after?

Charles, Death, double, hopes, Mario, Martinet, Super

It’s been almost three decades since the hilarious Charles Martinet lent his high-pitched interjections to the most famous video game hero. And from the top of his almost 66 years, he never seems to want to stop.

does Charles Martinet save his place? While we now know that it is actor Chris Pratt who will be the voice of the former Brooklyn plumber in the animated film Super mario bros. (whose name is not final at the moment), which is represented by “Wah!”, “Yoohoo!” and other “Leeeeet’s-a-go !!” hopes to keep his place for a few more years and even on his deathbed, despite a recumbent position one can imagine for exercising.

the Diamonds are eternal

This weekend, Charles Martinet was actually a guest at FAN EXPO Canada, the opportunity to answer questions from the public on site. So the actor had time to understand the main lines of his career: from his graduation from the prestigious University of Berkeley to his beginnings as a voice actor – an occupation that earned him much more than the plays he was in at the time – he says finally, how surprised he was when he suggested “his” Mario, and then content himself with listing all the Italian dishes that he knows with his famous accent. It must be said that he knows what he is talking about:

My ambition is to be happy. I want to live surrounded by love and gratitude. I want to travel the world and eat white truffles in Italy.

We will therefore understand his bond with the character who made him famous around the world, a fad he will never want to give up … or almost:

I want to overtake Mario until I drop dead. But if I feel like one day I won’t make it, I’ll ask Nintendo to find someone else.

The actor believes even more strongly that he could continue to train even after his death:

There must be 5 million audio files that I transfer Mario to. In the studio, I record every take at least 45 times, so I’m never far!
