There's good news for Final Fantasy 7 fans who've been waiting for Rebirth to come to other platforms, as the JRPG just confirmed a PC release date at The Game Awards.
You've all been waiting, and now it's time: Final Fantasy 7 Reborn is coming to PC, and you can pick it up on January 23rd. Square Enix shared the news with a new trailer released at The Game Awards, showcasing how the game will look on the new platform, as well as some features exclusive to that version. This includes: improved lighting, enhanced texturing and modeling, DLSS and VRR, and more.
It wouldn't be surprising that Square Enix would decide to port Final Fantasy 7 Reborn to PC, after all, it already did so with its predecessor, Remastered, so it would be a bit strange if it suddenly decided not to. Additionally, earlier this year, after disappointing sales for Rebirth and 16, Square Enix announced its intention to shift gears a bit and release its games on as many platforms as possible.

This obviously includes PC, but also Xbox. Sadly, there's no news on that front today, but Final Fantasy XIV producer Naoki “Yoshi-P” Yoshida reiterated Square Enix's commitment to multi-platform distribution. While Rebirth director Naoki Hamaguchi hasn't confirmed anything about a port, he did recently express that he's a fan of the Xbox platform, so fingers crossed it will eventually happen. Now we start waiting for the third part, at least the storyline is all wrapped up.
